Leading Edge Helicopters is a family-owned business based in Eltham, they have over 30 years of experience, specialising in aerial spraying for agriculture and forestry, precision lifting, flight training and much more.

Before Peter and David Law (twin brothers) approached us, LEH’s advertising collateral used different fonts to spell out their company name and services. Without a logo, every piece of marketing had a different feel.

After meeting with our designer and discussing their vision for the business, the idea of creating a logo from a photograph of one of their helicopters mid-flight was born. A digital illustration of a true likeness was incorporated with a strong typeface, one with a black background and one with a white background to give each brother a point of difference. The orange of the safety tips of the rotors became the feature colour of the brand.

From there an icon was developed that could be used stand-alone or in conjunction with the business name in a stacked or horizontal format for different marketing applications, such as social media and signage.
