Bex from Be Magical came to us looking to celebrate 5 years in business in a special way – by writing and publishing her own kids book based on the stories she tells at her themed parties. She had a concept of high colour, full gloss and something that kids would want to reach for on their bookshelf – but wanting to work with all local vendors. Bex worked with a local illustrator and a local proofreader on the content of the book, so the proofing stage was very important to get things right. We ran numerous rounds of printed samples to make sure the images lined up and the colours were as the illustrator had intended, and everyone would be happy with the finished product. Our teams expertise and advise helped ease the project through the printing phase with their recommendation on tweaks needed to get everything just right.
The team at Be Magical always has in mind the most magical ideas and Graphix enjoys rising to the challenge to create some wonder. For example, when discussing the signwriting on the company car it needed to sparkle – so we used a printed reflective base and a gloss laminate so that when the sun hits the car the print sparkles and looks truly mystical. And with their business cards, they needed to align with the magical branding – so we used pastel colours and metallic gold on a shimmery white card which glitters subtly in your hand.
After only a few years with the Graphix team, we have already done so many products for Be Magical, including, vehicle signwriting, flyers, business cards – and with no sign of slowing down as Be Magical grows into larger events, we look ahead to signage, event booklets and more!
